Beyond Brighter Minds

The importance of acknowledging the struggles and challenges our parents face is a key factor in the treatment we provide. Our emphasis is not just clinical because we know there are emotions, anxieties, and fears that deserve to be addressed and are often overlooked in traditional behavioral therapy.
Behavioral divergence is manifested differently in every individual, thus creating a unique experience of each and every family.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability (ID), and Anxiety are some of the diagnoses we treat using evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) that is synergistically combined with Skill-Based Treatment (SBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP).
Each child is unique, so no teaching strategies are ever alike. At Beyond Brighter Minds, Our ultimate goal is to shape a future where our clients and their families enjoy a meaningful life that is guided by their family values.

Our Treatment Strategies
Beyond Brighter Minds uses a Skill-Based Treatment (SBT) strategy– also called the “My Way protocol” – to treat moderate to severe problem behavior.
We believe people learn best when they are happy, relaxed, and engaged (HRE), so by eliminating problem behavior at the outset, learning can take place more rapidly and consistently.
SBT is an educational strategy derived from the evidenced-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The SBT process involves the teaching of the following skills to replace problem behavior: 1) communicating, (2) tolerating disappointment, (3) following adult directions, and 4) handling unpredictability.
If our learners can thrive in chaos, they can succeed anywhere. At the end of the SBT process, parents should be able to say “yes” when they can and “no” when they have to.
At Beyond Brighter Minds, we want our parents to struggle less and live more.
We provide parent education based on the BALANCE Early Intervention Program, which is a home-based, parent-implement program. The Balance Program is a proactive approach to teach young children important communication and coping skills BEFORE their behavior becomes challenging.
It is taught over the course of 10 weeks in weekly 2-hour meetings that can be done remotely or in-person. At the end of the program, continuous support by your child’s BCBA is provided to ensure maintenance of the skills.
Our Diverse Culture
We bring our eclectic blend of treatment strategies to those who need it most, regardless of race, religion, social status, or diagnosis.
Our unique and effective brand of behavior therapy respects and considers all factors that make you who you are. We celebrate your strengths and assets and use them to maximize your child’s progress and your parenting effectiveness.
